On March 28 Katharina Lobinger is invited speaker in a workshop on researching stereotypes. The workshop is part of the Zunkunftskonzept LMUecxellent-project “Wenn aus Menschen Fremde werden? Zur Stereotypisierung des ‘Fremden’ in sozialen Medien für Jugendliche”.
Katharina Lobinger will give a talk on the topic “‚Hegemonic visualities‘. Methodische Ansätze der quantitativen und qualitativen Erforschung visueller Stereotype”. In her talk she particularly focuses on how visually conveyed stereotypes and techniques of “othering” can be examined methodologically.
